PART I / PART II

KASSA ON...

SEX (he brought it up!)
::Favourite sexual position:: Just sex. I love serious passionate sex. Sex and a little danger! On the edge of someplace- (and he goes on an on and on). When you master the art of sex, because sex is an art, a woman feels complete after sex, completely satisfied…touch her in all the right places. Now that is a good fucking feeling... to be up inside of a woman, a woman that you love…

WOMEN
When my son was born it was beautiful and it made me realize that women are so powerful. They play such a big role in this life… that man is just a likkle tip in the bucket. I don't have a religion I am Rastafari…a way of life. I don't have a God; my outlook is that God only exists in your mind…if there is a god, woman is God.

Halle Berry/ India Arie?
I am attracted to someone who is beautiful. Ugliness is a behaviour; it's the way somebody behaves. I think what makes India Arie beautiful, attractive person music and so on. But I'd have sex with Halle Berry. But I'm not that type of person that I'd say " a my girl dat or me'd a do she".

I love a serious, smart, balanced, facety woman…somebody that will keep me in check.

CHOOSE ONE!!!

Cat/Dogs Dogs

Godfather/Scarface Godfather- serious shit…serious cinematography

Al Pacino/Dinero Pacino.

Osbournes/Sopranos Sopranos

Tea/Coffee It depends on where I'm at in the world. If I'm in England then I will have tea but if I'm in America I'll have coffee to stain my teeth!

Bounty/Beenie Bounty definitely. Poetry

Cricket/Football Football all the way. Jersey and all.

Favourite team/s? Locally, Tivoli. Internationally Brazil, or any African team

Alcohol/herb Alcohol…just kidding. Herb all the way

CD/Vinyl I don't have the patience to deal with records so CD's for me

Movies/ Music? Movies with music.

Money/Recognition If I am recognized… if I am 'the real big man' and I can do something to make the society or culture better then I'm all for it so I'd choose recognition. But if it's just fame (for fame's sake) then I'd choose money- We all have to pay the rent.

Heaven/Hell/Life after death I've never thought about it, I am like a child when it comes to death, If you put a little baby at the top of a building he'll crawl off, I don't fear death. No one has ever died and come back to tell about it so I can't make a choice.

SHORTS
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In ten years I'd like to have a nice sexy wife beside me and couple more pickney, about four or five. ( He has one son, Nyabinghi)

Biggest celebrity's number in your cell phone?
Capleton (The easiest artist he's ever worked with).

Most difficult artist to work with
Elephant man, he thinks he's a director

Strangest request ever made by an artist on a shoot?
We checked out the location and ting and him like it. We had the set ready like one day before the shoot. (Then) like an hour and a half before the shoot he called and said him not shooting round 'dere caw dat area is PNP an' him and him bwoys a JLP! We already have the link and talk to the biggest man in Rae Town so everyting nice and we had to go into his community which (had) nothing (to work with).

Lowest budget
$60,000 (Jamaican dollars). Just because it was a woman. It was a Rasta woman, Queen Candice doing her ting outta her own pocket. It was my first project for 2002 and I'd say that it brought me luck caw this year was not bad at all.

Biggest budget
A commercial from Bob Marley group of companies- a one-minute ad. I had the opportunity to create.

Favourite local video/s
Anything with the (late) Black Rat; Chaka Demus & Admiral Bailey's "One Scotch", directed by Lee O'Reggio a.k.a. Big Daddy; Ini Kamoze's "Shocking Out" directed by Trevor Bailey.

Favourite foreign video?
P.O.D's "Alive" directed by Francis Lawrence

Favourite foreign directors
Paul Hunter and Francis Lawrence

Favourite piece of equipment
My whole crew and the Glide cam.

What's your dream?
I'd like to make some serious films here in Jamaica, not a copy of 'Harder They Come'; like some serious drama not so much the shoot 'em up thing. For the world to see and for yutes to see that you don't just have to leave school and then say 'fuck it' or be a deejay, I want them to see that there is more out there. The greatest ting was when I was driving on the road one day and this yute run up to me and said I love your work and I want to be a director. That's what keeps me there. It's the greatest thing, not the 500,000 budget.
