An off-season Saturday
with so much to do? What's going on?
We headed to this Birthday Party in Millsborough first. We got there pretty
early to get our fill of FREE juice (JOOZE!) and caught Left Side & Esco
and Nemesis spinning some great tunes. Other than that...whatever...Sabado
was calling so we headed on to New Kingston.
You may remember Chameleon Crew's Sexta Feira's (Sexy Fridays) up in Beverly
Hills. Same guys. Sabado (Portuguese for Saturday) is an extension of
Feira's.
Their choice of venue this time was The Pantry on Dumfries Rd. David
told me that it was their first and last time due to the awkward layout
as well as the stuffy old man that runs the place. We had hoped that the
original venue in Beverly Hills would be their next choice, but we are
all too familiar with anal neighbours putting up a fight when us younguns
just want to have a good time! Well, I hope that the next Sexta fete will
be housed in a just as suitable location!
So - SABADO at The Pantry. Honourable mention for intimate vibes.
As I mentioned before, there were a few other things going on, so although
it wasn't as successful as CC wanted - it was the bangingest party that
night! After getting my Newport from the one guy that always has Newport,
(note to CC: extra vibes point from me!) I stepped
inside. Upon paying the $300 entry fee, the females get to go in with
one container of bubbles solution I stole a couple..(shhh..don't tell).
I used one up before I got to the back of the venue!
Arif Cooper, the Turtable Technician with guest selectah Scott Wilson,
both of Fame FM were doing a great job with the
tunes. Arif always knows how to keep the vibes going whilst handing out
awesome variety. ESPECIALLY Oldies Hip-Hop! YA DOWN WIT OPP??!! Uh huh.
The danec floor was L-I-V-E! It's low, red lighting was very well done
and the whole setting gave off a tropical ambiance.
*** 4 CUES! HONOURABLE JOOZE RATING! ***
So, there I am on the dancefloor, screechying like only I can screechy,
and up comes David with some potion in a rum bottle. Bring it on, Baby!
BRING IT ON! 1 or 2 or 10 shots later, I was good
to go. The red mixture, I was told, is a secret Sexta Recipe but they
let off that it contains red rum, white rum AND vodka in there. Hmmm...no
wonder Sabado got such an honorable jooze rating, seeing as this stuff
was ON DA HOUSE!
The bar itself was loaded with V/X (which is always a perk). The bartenders
were great - especially that cocky MF who was making some 1/2 and 1/2
rum & cokes. LOVE DAT! The jooze prices were good
and everybody was joozey.
The right mix of party people was there. Celebrities, models,
joozers and video VIXENS (p.c. people!) Everbody blend nice and everybody
had a good time, especially when one of our hosts, David, jumped on the
portable mic and walked through the party VIBEZIN SH*T UP! A natural born
MC. GO-O-O-O DAVID!
