DAY 3 - (mandatory Village run &) HOT 97

Fyah: So we link up wid Bobby Konders after a day in the Village shopping our asses off...see the pics we literally walked from Chinatown to the Village,
Tru: AND didn't feel a thing- see how woman gwaan ova clothes!
Fyah: I don't know if that nuh far to you, but for someone who don't walk nowhere... IT FURRRRRR FURRR...

Tru: Then we did the whole dinner thing (Italian) and called to get the directions to the studio...
Fyah: so it wasn't just a bag a mout', he actually was true to his words, 'round 11pm we head for the show. Everyone was all nervous for us remember? Everyone but us...
Tru: Trus mi but that vanished once we got into it
Fyah: I don't think it has hit me yet
Tru: I know..ignorance is bliss?!
Fyah: I mean Hot 97 is big fish... and we haven't even done the E-Spot with Claudette Powell on Fame in Jamaica!!!
Tru: hahahahaha!!! wooooooeeeeeee.. .fi real.. .my girl we global... don't get it twisted!!

Fyah: So they had to split us up because of lack of mics (too many emcees not enough mics). Tru was wid Jabba and I was wid Bobby.
Tru: I don't think it was a lack of mics... they do it that way... I don't know why... some technical ting
Fyah: No sweetie, it was because they didn't have enough headphones to go with the mics so we had to hear through theirs... Or maybe it was just a ploy to get us into the booths with them... heheheh
Tru: oh seen....NOT!!!
Fyah: Joking... they didn't have enough to go around, so we had to bum off of their own...

Tru: They were really cool, though, I don't think they knew what they were getting into
Fyah: we plugged the website NON STOP!!!!!!
Tru: I hope they finally got a chance to check out the site considering they had no internet access in the studio
Fyah: yeah that sucked.
Tru: I know right.. took me by surprise... can tell yuh that!

Fyah: Then we took couple pics, and CUT!
Tru: short and straight to the point.
Fyah: It was really wicked, I think we found our calling if this whole website thing don't work... talk radio
Tru: I concur!!!

DAY 4 - VP Anniversary Jam

Fyah: I changed my ticket just for this party. VP anniversary party! We in NEW YORK! And Tanto Metro and Devonte song spinning like crazy on the radio waves... we couldn't miss it!
Tru: Can I tell yuh that when we reach the door dem was a turn back people. Some shit 'bout over capacity inside-We were all set to cut an go beat some juice when Charlie Browne got us in effortlessly. It's not what you know in this town but who you know.... as Jamaicans this is nothing new to us. Anyway, so we were "escorted thru congestion"...
Fyah: dem bouncers can be real *ssoles. I was glad to get pass dem... down the stairs and into the party where it did cawk fi true.

Tru: I heard from the shout that Sean Paul was back stage, this back stage was definitely free of restrictions for entry caw i just waltzed back there and took a pic of him, he was gracious as always.
Fyah: Can I just tell you... I hate VIP rooms. The less I have to deal wid all these egos the better. On another note though... his performance was not all that great!
Tru: The sound system f*ck him up still, I think he did ok, the sound quality was the BIGGEST problem.. he was doing an acapella song and den dem bring in di riddim pon him and f*ck him up
Fyah: That's true but everyone was working wid the same system... anyway, T.O.K. MASH it up!
Tru: Trus mi! They were wicked, I love them!
Fyah: Tanto and Devonte MASH IT UP!!!

Tru: Tanto and Devonte really can go far....
Fyah: They are so charismatic on stage, it was really entertaining watching them... and they are so funny together
Tru: They were great! They gave an excellent performance. Is like every single year dem come wid a BIG tune weh mash up di place... whatever dem do work fi dem... they should always do the combination ting. But you know when dem drop "Gyal Say Woeee" pickcha stop tek and a pure wining!

Fyah: Rude girl! We cyaan figet bout Lady Saw
Tru: LOVE HER!
Fyah: She was so plastered!!!!
Tru: I say more power to her... gwaan beat some juice yes... she entitled to let her hair down once in a while.
Fyah: She was so wicked!!!
Tru: Yow mi rate Lady Saw! She bad!
Fyah: As she touch the stage she kick off her shoes and start one piece of dutty wining
Tru: ...is when she call di girl on stage to dance...

		Fyah: Trust me, Lady Saw just do your thing, nobody cyaan touch yuh!!! Tru: ...and then ask Jabba to come wine wid the girl!!! Fyah: hahahaha Tru: Jabba was like, ahhhh...no. Fyah: There's a running joke warning all de camara man dem in Jamdown, dat seh when Lady Saw do her ting, tek yuh camara and run, 'cause she gwane draw fi yuh if yuh is a man!!!! You hear what she seh when she did ah leave the stage? Tru: wah? Fyah: 'Anyway, Mi gone, Mi drunk" Tru: yeah fi real I remember!! Fyah: She just straight up, no frills Tru: love dat Fyah: After all of that drama the place basically did lock down. Oh, who was that guy that did come on and do him soca song again? Tru: There was a soca performance? Fyah: naw, just the song... remember the soca song that Andrew Mack love? Tru: Huh? Fyah: ...he came on wid Tanto and Devonte Tru: oh sht... was I dat fras????!!... mi cyaan memba Fyah:* You know man... It was on the radio that night we went to Angel... and the Mack Daddy was going on about it being the only soca song him ever like.... Tru: Mr. Easy??? B - is not soca.... Fyah: you know who I talking though right? It was a carnival tune this year.... Tru: "let me love u, girl caress my body, u got me going crazy, turn me on turn me on???" Fyah: yeah... It was a carnival tune this year... I tink... anyway, dat did wicked Tru: sht i don't remember that one Fyah:* Anyway, whatever you were smoking....gimme some. Tru: I know Mr. Easy come on and DONE IT wid Tanto and Devonte... all get encore... dem ting deh Fyah: Same one! That's the guy, trust me!... It was a good night though wasn't it? Tru: I think so.... Fyah: There you have it folks... with our numerous pictures in hand, we called it a night...
