Aaah yes. Don't we all just love a Pip 'N Ting Lifestyles party?
Whether or not we partake in the theme, most of partake in the dearly beloved 2-4-1 Rum & Coke Special. We ALL love Dr. Dre's blessing of the turntables. And of course, it wouldn't be a party without the ras brothers providing the necessary amenities! *cough cough*
I reached at 12 mash. It was pretty empty but since jooze and moozic was flowing nicely, I was quite, quite alright. Dre was blowing down the venue with some billboards, and I stepped out back. PAHTY PEOPLE was in tha house in FULL EFFECT. Camera clickin' baby. Vibes from the get-go, yaknowhutamsayn?
Temple Hall Estate. What a nice place to have a shin-dig. Maybe it's the location...the hilly air...but did everyone come packing a bills bag and rizlas for The Luau? The sweet scent of natural herbs was in the air that night, let me tell you.
(I want your comments on this one), ladies and gentlemen...is Temple Hall too far to drive? I personally don't mind the drive (maybe the drive back, all joozey and ting, heh heh). Lifestyles boys changing up the venue all the time because of various problems, but I like Temple Hall. The only problem apparently is the drive. I do agree that the crowd was sparse at The Luau, and within that sparseness was many more guys than chicks, but the vibe was nice.
UMMM..Question. Where's Mario C? It seems he's missing in action. Last I heard he was in DC or Miami or Port Antonio somewhere. Can we get him back?? His special dubplates for Lifetstyles were excellent!
I must mention, Sean Gonzalez of Kokonuts & Kocktails, was keeping the bar flo-o-owin! In fact, I'll give you guys an extra 1/2 cue rating for the little fancy umbrellas in the drinks! (my personal jooze rating was a healthy 4/5! Excellent!) Plus, this time, tickets were selling and jooze was serving right up until I left! I don't leave 'til the party's done, ya get me? Normally, the bar locks off at 3 or 4 or so. This time it didn't. THANKS SEAN! KEEP IT UP! (note to Sean - those two bartender chicks outside were way cool man)
So, the party people was up in HEAH! Starlights were joozing it up and vibzin it down! Sean-Paul, Dutty Cup, Fahrenheit, Italee aka. RUDE!!!, Kid Kurup and riddim genius Jazwad (note to Kurup - where de Killa was this time?), Delano and the Renaissance massive and Boyd of the Phat Block on Fame. Special mention to our hosts, Craig, Philip and Ian. They were tremendously gracious as always and totally up in the mix of things. LOVE DAT! LOVE DAT!
Last but not least...Hula! Hula! Glad to see that some of the chicks were good sports regarding the theme. UMM...No comment from ME on the dude in the skirt, but you are ALL welcome to leave YOUR comments. The leas and countless hawaiian shirts added to the nice & warm tropical vibe. Lifestyles Hawaiian Luau was all round a great vibe. I love the venue, though let's see how Liguanea Club does next time.

Lifestyles Rating: 3/5 chicks

Jooze Rating: 3/5 cues

Overall Rating (off-season): 4/5 chicks

Total Rating: 3/5

Good Job Guys!
