We reach bout something to one. The line did long still, but they called
us up. Yuh dun know, wi have status! LOL
MIC: YAH? F*$@ you! I got there at 11:59
and still had to pay. The dude at the front was being totally anal. But
I always support mah boys. Iz all good.
TRU:
My first impression was 'What's up with the venue? Why they havin' it
here?' But after getting through quickly with tickets and the bar, it
was on!
MIC: I get my tickets quick too. There must
have been some new bartenders 'coz none a dem did recognize me, and I
had to tell them how to make a real drink.
TRU: They were good for me still.
MIC: Well, I saw my two chick bartender friends
there, and they hooked me up good. heh heh.
TRU:
Ok, alcoholics anonymous, enough about the bar now. What you thought about
the fact that the dance floor was inside and then you could stand and
schmooze outside in the cool air? I appreciated that because that dance
floor was hot as hell.
MIC: Yeh, I liked that. I don't like dance
floors, so I liked that it was away from the easy vibes.
TRU: But you know what was f$%@ed up? The
music should've been outside too. At least a couple more speakers so we
didn't have to be sweatin out hell inside. Dre was jugglin' really good,
and you could barely hear it from the 'courtyard'.
MIC: Well, I touched the dance floor twice.
Once to take pictures of the sound, and once to jump on top of the big
speaker to take pictures. Did you see me????
TRU: Could I miss you?
MIC: Of course not.
TRU:
Honestly, I thought Luau was better. It just had alot more going on in
terms of setting/location, vibe and the very important 2 for 1 rum & cokes.
MIC: I was so wasted at Luau. I kind of appreciated
the more somber (sober?) vibe of Liguanea. It was more social and chill.
TRU:
The crowd was a good mix, doncha think?
MIC: Well, yes. Everybody was segregated
as usual. Nothing new. Hell, the crowd is always the same everywhere all
the time. At least, nuff nuff people reach this party still. It was more
ram than luau.
TRU: True..and at least during the off-season,
I don't feel so granny-ish. Not so many little boys runnin around posing
as big man!
MIC: Hey, man. Any mack is a good mack.
TRU: I beg to differ. I know I can't hate
on the young guys because we all start somewhere, but yuh dun know, I
ain't trying to get into Fort Augusta.
MIC: Yah well, there are limitations, I suppose.
TRU:
So how you rate it?
MIC: Personally, I had a ball. I was butterflying.
TRU: What's that?
MIC: New word, man. Watch it. It means 'SOCIAL'
butterflying bout de place!
TRU: Dat flop still. But, fi real, how you
rate it?
MIC:
Hmmmm. I guess for off-season vibes, I give it 3. Juice (JOOZE!) factor
wasn't that high...like 2 cues. Overall vibe...3. What about you?
TRU: I give everything a 3.5. Mi nuh inna
de category ting.
MIC: A'ight so that's 3 + 2 + 3 + 3.5 divided by 4. That's....3 out of
5. That's a-a-a-alright!
TRU:
Yeh man. Good. Bed Time. Peace!
MIC: YEH. One.
