Mic answers the sleepyhead's questions...
Tru:
It did ram?
Mic: WHA?! Ram? Trus' mi it
did more ram 'dan any odda one at Liguanea times two!
Tru: Fi real! Dat good still!
That must be attributed to the fact that more people are back
now and UWI and U-Tech are closed for the summer.
Mic: Yes, I suppose so. Nuff
student-looking people were there.
Tru: Did you notice anything
different from any of the other theme parties?
Mic: YES! *screw face* The
competition was so wack!
Tru: Fi real? How come?
Mic: Well, Michelle wants
to make it strictly a costume competition rather than a "who wine
dem waist di best" kinda ting.
Tru: Mi nuh see nuttin' wrong
wid dat. The contest is "Best Costume"...who is the most convincing.
Mic: I know but it was so
boring. Di people dem jus' go up there and stan' up like WHAT?
And anyway, di best costume neva win...di girl weh always win
split it with this guy who had the best costume in the whole place.
But di crowd wasn't about to rail up fi no man. So that was that.
They should make a girls only, guys only contest..but anyway...
Tru: Seen...so who got f**ked
up now?
Mic: Well, of course the boys
in the back always pretty bent, but I didn't really see anyone
really plastered. In fact, alot of the females I saw were drinking
soda. Pleasant change from back in the day.
Tru: WOW. Ok. How was the
venue set up? Any changes?
Mic: Funny you should ask,
Tru. The bar and the food stand switched places but the big screen
was in the same place. More bartenders were there it seemed, but
I thought the music was rather low from the new watering hole.
But the change opened up the venue a little more. The dance floor
was still sweltering as usual.
Tru: Dem need some AC up in
dat rass. Or a fan or something. I'm serious yo.
Mic: Yes, agreed.
Tru: So who juggle wicked?
Mic: well, I reach there about
1:30am so. And Left Side & Esco were spinnin' when I got in. As
far as I know they played for the whole night, and trust me dem
deal wid it wicked. In fact, I don't think I ever see the dance
floor so vibes at Liguanea yet. Trust me guys, yuh fi get Left
Side & Esco play all the time 'longside Renaissance.
Tru: So it did nice then?
Mic: Yeh man, di whole vibe
did nice, except the music being low by the bar. I can't imagine
how ram the next one going to be if this is just the beginning
of the beginning of summer. See y'all next time at Shorts
night...June 23rd. Hy-y-ype!
One!
