time we checked on Links' sound, Hot Mondays was just starting out at Fire
Links HQ on Waltham Park Road. Nowadays he and his sound, the
aptly named Fire Squad, are on a "Higher Level" - Hot Mondays
has changed venues from the small bar to a bigger, better spot - Hagley Park
Mall on Hagley Park Rd. Be sure to check it out this and every Monday! Admission

Although
there are many things to do in around town on Sundays, you can fit it all into
your schedule...if yuh bad. Kick off your lazy Sunday by getting up nice and
early. Even if you had a rough Saturday night trust us, you'll be glad you
did. You're going to the beach! The sun, sand and salt water will get any nasty
toxins and residual alcohol out of your system. Put on your suit, pack up your
towel, your suntan oil (or sunblock if you're as white as Mic Chik),
and a change of clothes (for later). Grab some peoples and load up the car.
First,
hit Y-Knot in Port Royal and get yourself banded up to boat over to Lime Cay.
There are a few options to get to this
little island about a mile and a half off the shore of downtown kingston,
but we always go for the Y-Knot boat because the atmospehere is so friendly
there and the boat drivers, Lighta and Wink y, are so cool. The ride over
is about 10 minutes long and oftentimes bumpy, so prepare to brace yourself
as you coast the gorgeous turqoise blue waters to Lime Cay.

So,
now you're at Lime Cay. Ask your
boat driver to come back at a set time. We suggest 4:30 if you get there at
noon. Whether it's Saturday or Sunday you'll find the Lime Cay Catering crew
out there with a variety of food and beverages to keep you going all day long.
On-Season (Christmas & Summer), they're there everyday when the beach is
being patronized on a daily basis. We're talking about Sunday here. Every week
by 1pm, Lime Cay is swarming with hard body girls in thongs, uptown playboys
under their liquor, families with babies, a dog or too, and sun sun sun. It's
like it never rains out there - ever. Lime Cay on a Sunday is a party on the
beach, so if you're looking to really relax, we recommend an off-Season Saturday
or weekday outing when you have to Cay practically to yourself. Be aware that
the cost of a boat from Y-Knot raises to J$500 per person round trip on a weekday.
After
Lime Cay, spend an hour or two at Y-Knot. There is usually a DJ spinning some
great music and drinks are well priced.

It's
Sunday night now. Remember that change of clothes we told you to bring? Now
is the time to use it, because you're going to Port Henderson Beach for a
real party. If Dancehall is not your thing, then go home and sleep off your
post-beach hangover and if you're not into the bougeois Lime Cay flex, then
this is probably the spot for you.

On The "LAROOSE CONCRETE" Beach
takes it back to days of the Dancehall. Cost
of admission is "buy out the bar" and you will be treated to the
superb sounds of any given guest DJ or sound passing through. Whether it be
Stone Love, Fire
Links, Rebel T or the like, the music is always wicked!! To top
it off, the kitchen is open all night so you can indulge in Hellshire-style
fish and festival 'til the wee hours of Monday morning.
