YUSH!!!
Mad Puss Revenge
What a party I must say it was. Curphey Place sizzled
with the sounds of G-Fuss from Stone Love and Jazzy T from Renaissance
not to mention the other surprise guest's selectors like Delano and Richie
D. The setting inspired a nice likkle ambiance and by the mood
of the people and the simplicity of their dress it was clear that everybody
did come fi bubble.
It
was a drink inclusive party and I must tell u the liquor flooooooowed!!!!!!!!!!!!
No problems
there as even after 4:00am when the party was nearing the end I had no
problems getting drinks and may I say, there was plenty of ice. The variety
of mix drinks, alcohol and juices was diverse enough to fulfill the varying
tastes and requests of the many patrons.
This
is an oldies party that was greatly appreciated and long overdue and trust
me; the people craved the back in the day music. Uptown,
downtown wet and curl and those who haffi rely on sprits, the ladies were
all moving their bodies to the tunes. The men were no different, as a
matter of fact they were predators attacking the women outside themselves
as they were somewhat hypnotized by the rhythms being unleashed by the
selectors.
The
music was, well good... Well enough to have the people gyrating bubbling
brukking out and begging for more.
However it was not totally satisfying because I spent a full hour wondering
why they were playing recent rhythms and songs which were quite new especially
since I, unlike them seemed to be cognizant of the fact that it was an
oldies session. I was further displeased about this travesty of justice
especially in light of the fact that Lady Saw's
"stab out di meat" among other classics were not played.
Nevertheless the vibes were there and I enjoyed
myself and apparently so did many others which leaves me with no other
choice but to say **** (4 stars) to you PP, Quizz and Scott. [NB(*****
5 being the highest)]

Yush
was the party that made you feel that the summer had not ended. The
people there were great. It was almost like a karoke, as everyone was
singing along to the songs. The bar was great, the gate was hassle free...
all we need to know is when is the next one? John

Yush was definitely a footstep back in time. The combination of Jazzy
T, Richie D. & Geefus made the night even more memorable.
The question to
be asked is WHAT DOES YUSH MEAN?
Yush
brings back memories of Bleachers, Mirage, 24K; Swim Meets at the National
Stadium, Aylsham barbecues etc.
The party was motivated by the early and late nineties hits, the crowd
responded as a result with many shouts of pullllllllll up! Throughout
the night people who on average would be socialising were shaking their
feet on the dancefloor. The ladies made it very clear this Christmas they
were definitely going to be out in their numbers and fully decked out
in the latest gears (check the pics). The social scene will be heating
up more and more as Christmas approaches. The bar was easily accessible,
that was appartent by the way the majority of people felt (nice) from
all the liquors that were consumed, and the time most people got home
(5:00 am - 6:00 am); the security was tight as usual, which is a key factor
to any party based on the crime situation today. All in all the party
was a success, big up to all the YUSH Crew!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leighton Davis - High Society
YUSH
2 - MAD PUSS REVENGE
I got to the party at about 1:45 am and on my way
to finding a secure spot to park I could hear do tune dem a chomp - vibez
buil' instantly!!!
When I got inside
I realize seh there was no long eternity waiting to get inside di session
so dat was another + so far. I wanted to see how YUSH
2 could raise the bar for what the first had set.
The
ulitmate test was when I got to the bar, this is where some sessions make
or break the grade,
to my surprise the bar was well organized so much so that the bartenders
were asking if I was getting through as yet!!! Seriously I caan tell when
last- if ever- I went out and that happened!! And the place ram too!
Di music, the crowd
vibez did jus deh deh, I mean, even the bathroom lines weren't ridiculous
from I got there up till di time I was leaving - which was only because
ma shoes at this time was beyond unbearable.
Trust
mi Quizz YUSH 2 was good to go - no fren ting a di truth. Lata.

It's not really my place to review this event since it was my party but
yuh dun know.. haffi give props when it's due. Big up PP
and Scott, the big men behind Yush,
keeping the operations running smoothly all the way through. Good
to YUSH!
Nuff respec' to the thousand strong that came out and supported us.
Jazzy T. and Geefus had the place weak! I have to mention the
electricity that ran through me when Geefus took up the mic and introduced
himself. In 10 years I haven't heard anything like it. Stone Love at an
uptown party?!? Trus' mi. It was ill. Just like the old days for real
for real!! Jazzy was spinning just like he did on Fame way back in the
day. Remember??? Big up also Richie D.
