First
things first... Welcome to Whaddat V.03, party people
in the place to be. Had to kick it off with a big stamp of approval...
NOOKIE! The first commercial Nookie, on July 25th, was my
second time venturing out of the house since the car accident I was involved
in in June, and trust me... stamp after stamp after stamp after stamp.
I attended a slew of good parties summer past, but Blink Euphoria,
Nookie, Osmosis and Juicey took the cake and tied
for 1st place.
The best thing about these events, especially Nookie, was the venue. Nookie's
venue is an original house party spot since school days, lemme tell you.
I won't tell you
whose yard it is, but from Sexta Feira days
- Syndicate days - sessions have just kept on keeping and keeping
there. After all, everybody and their mother can appreciate a snug house
party.
The second thing
about Nookie was the crowd... the blem up crowd.
I have been stuck on this whole "merge" issue vehemently since
I started getting down & dirty with RETV.
Let me explain...
Just a few years ago, you would have gone to Nookie only if you
were part of a certain circle - a super uptown circle - and ventured
nowhere else and vice versa (excluding me of course, but hey,
this is why they call me Quizz). Lately, if Elephant
Man isn't there, it just isn't a party and that fact is recognised
by the same people in that "certain circle", yu get mi? Ok,
well Ele wasn't at Nookie, he was in the States, but The Alliance
was represented by Wayne Marshall all
up in the hizzouse in his army gears costume and that's just as good.
SHIZZLE!
So, yes the party did
blem up & ram up nice, and although segregated - the
socializers (drinkers and talkers) were up top by the
main bar, and the party animals (shakers
& movers) were down by the pool - It was still a nice vibe. Very
nice. Kudos to the promoters for yet another great event. The music was
great, thanks to Renaissance (after all,
it IS Jazzy T's party!). It was very loud, 'til all hours, the liquor was
flowing (all inclusively 'memba) 'til sun up and the crowd was flowing along
with it 'til 6:30am! Rhaatid. I actually got home at minutes to seven after
one likkle eediat drama - eediat being the
operative word. All said and done, out comes this review. Very well
done gentlemen! *applause*
Blessssssss
