Title: Delano's Revenge 7
Concept: Annual Bashment
Promoters: Delano & Renaissance w/ Red Stripe
Cost: $350 pre/ $500 gate
Venue: Caymanas Polo Club
Date: Saturday, November 10th

Overseein shit Back to basics Prepare for the show Dilly T & Tony Curtis Robert runnin di VI Hi Marvin! Asylum & Matterhorn reppin Gary & Simon - reppin Renaissance

What a treat to go to a Revenge and actually get inside the venue within half an hour of reachin' the entrance of Caymanas! Lemme tell you bout Revenge 5 for a minute! The Revenge when Matterhorn relesed Bounty's "Look into The Dance" dub. I drove Suzi (my beloved white Swift that I killed in '99) and took a couple breddrins with me. About half way down the road to the venue the traffic blocked up and came to a complete stand still. I waited for about 45 minutes before something tek me and I turned off the car, came out, locked the doors and started walking. I mean, I left the car in the middle of the road. Everybody around me start cuss and ask the question I have heard countless times before ... "A wha do dis mad white gyal??!!" ...Well, dem mussi realize seh it mek sense at the time because everybody follow me to rass. Then there were those who thought parking their vehicle at a 45 degree angle on the ditched shoulder made sense. Most of us have all seen this before, and some of you reading now are probably the jackasses that committed the aforementioned act. It wasn't us that parked our cars in the middle of the road that caused the problem at 6am when the show done. It was the tow trucks strewn all across the path leading out to the highway pulling these same cars and their dismembered bumpers to their rescue.

Anyway - I just wanted to relay that story because Revenge 7 was so well organized and nuttin' like Revenge 5. I was so pleased with Delano and the crew for looking out for his patrons and actually getting some police patrol out there to keep shit orderly. But I swear, you FOOLS that insist on passing the line of traffic on the right makes it really difficult to keep things in order. Why must you do that? I'm neurotic about this subject and next time I'm going to come out and direct traffic my damn self! (yeh man...you SOON see dat!).
Now selectaaaaah...As we entah inside....

dun know DJ Razz & Mic Chik *wink* Coppershot in di house Toronto Hottie Hottie  Sky Juice belly ..big belly Route 76 reppin Whaddat This is our Police Mic Chik & Kamal..check Trilogy on Saturday ' constant Spring

HelllO Spragga! Sleepy..aah bwoy Yes it is I ..and wha Twisted. Apocalypse must rise again Rico Suave Dutty Dawg Kurup Hmmm.

So, like I said, the first thing that I noticed was the great organization of traffic outside. We got into VIP parking with no problem and there were so many cars parked in there! No problem for me and more power to the VIPs but Delano love gwaan like him stingy bout VIP parking passes!! hahaha! Z'all good... More love, Dilly.

So we reach in the venue with little hassle at the gate. There were two entrances and they were metal detecting the men and searchin the women's bags. Now let me ask you all something. Who's to say that I'm not packing?? Mi camera a mi gun still, but who's going to stop the shotta from handing his piece to his girlfriend to stick in her waist if she don't have one strapped on her ankle already? Just a question still. What can you do? Moving along...

As I reach backstage, it was all 'bout kickin' back. No pictures until everybody was good and crunked. Apparently, the free Red Stripe 'til 1am kicked a couple people smack in the face before I got there at 1:30 because there were heads on knees all over by the time I reach! Hahaaaaaa! We just grabbed a couple dozen rum tickets and held those for the night, yuhzimi. Beer doesn't do a body good especially when decked out in air restricting jeans and tube top, yuh get mi? Of course, Kokonuts & Kocktails did the bar good with nuff nuff bartenders. Absolutely necessary for big bashments like Delano's Revenge.

Although the crowd was about cut in half compared to past years (due to the weather without a doubt) the vibes was still kickin - fully. Last year the crowd reached bout 8 thousand - this year only about 4. I kept in close contact with Delano throughout the day because it was pourin rain continuously. At about 5pm that evening, he sounded a little worried but YUH DUN KNOW...Delano a soldier and stuck it out. The rain stopped pissin' and pissed off and Revenge 7 was a definite go! WOOO-HOOO!

Kardi tell dem Red OOOONE Bring it back to T-Dot *swoon* Misfit MUS FIT Kardi & Bounty like what! Stage hawks deh bout Ol' Time Killin'

Infiltrate Kardi Top a Top..don't fuk wid him Dancehall Psychologist The Marshall, Kardinal & The Rascalz Hello? helloo Dre They have arrived BL-BL-BLaaazzzze it up

Let's discuss the reason why we were there (apart from supporting Dilly *wink*) - THE MUSIC!! Yes the music was fantastic! The promotion of this event was different from past Revenges if you all noticed. It was centered around DANCING - NOT the dance itself. We got in when Alric & Boyd were tearing up the place with real DANCIN' music! They did a great great job at churning up the vibes while it was till early. Then Kurt "The Party Animal" Riley took over with Dr. Dre from Renaissance on the mic. Love dat - no doubt. Then The Asylum DJs came on and kind of started the original DANCE vibe. Chat chattin on the mic and spinnin' dubs and ting. It took away from the dancING aspect that Delano wanted to keep sacred at Revenge 7 but nonetheless they played wicked!

Next up was...hmmmm...aahhm...more rum? Nah..let me see now...I believe Matterhorn played next. No no...Jazzy T from Renaissance who also kept outta line with the dancING vibe and run 'bear dub and ting. The vibe in the place got a likkle more rowdy but everybody "behaved" themselves. Just some Red Stripe wars an ting an ting. Dat's cool. Sky Juice come up next and gwaan wid him "belly full" of antics and then Matterhorn, who set the stage - for the stage show. (I think I got the order correct - I was busy runnin' around with a Sharpie pen signing everything in sight. If I marked up anything that I shouldn't have, I'm sorry. It was terribly immature and I promise I won't do it again *snicker*).

Yes - The Stage show now. Wicked wicked wicked. I was just taking some pics on stage when Bounty come on stage and grab up a mic with some ferocity. *click click* Next thing you know he called up T-Dot's one and only Kardinal Offishal who fu@ked up the venue with his and Bounty's special remix of Bakardi Slang. On top of that, I was so tremendously pleased to see Canada's Finest reppin' at Revenge. Guys - thanks. Y'all made my night. The Rascalz was up in there LIKE WHAT.
Question: Why wasn't Kardi allowed to dun him set????

Rickie Rudie aka. Bling Dawg, Richie Stephens & DYCR (?) also performed and kept the crowd bumpin'. Notice how Bling Dawg is everybody's favourite new deejay nowadays?? Yuh see it.

Yuh dun know, MY DEEJAY, Spragga La Benz was up in Revenge. He was actually meant to headline the show, but was scheduled to be away - he called Delano at the last minute to mek him know seh he was in fact representin at Revenge. *applause* Imagine me when I decided to leave, Spragga took the mic WHEN I was getting in the CAR!!! Grrrrrrraaargh. It's all good, him fu@k up the place even without me there HAHAHA!
