Events' Crush After-Party at The Jungle on Sunday was officially
the last party of the weekend. I
didn't think very many people would be there since they
would be "exhausted" from the all day parties, like the
night before after Stages, when Club
Liquid was the after-party. I think the reason
why the turnout was good was because it was the last party
and we were all milking Independence for all it was worth.
It also helped that it was Hybrid
but Smirnoff Ice made sure that all
their after-parties were being hosted by top promoters.
Y'all
know Hybrid! Blink, Spice...
yeh man... Top man Kevin and Beachy (Blink's
2nd Annual All-White party is coming up at Big Fish, Miami
on August 31st).
As we
entah inside, I was pooped and broke
but had my battery charger and a little bit of space
left on the CF Card so it was still all about Whaddat!
YAY!
I tried
to chill and play some pool at The Jungle. I have seemed
to have lost my touch on the table since my head up and
left but it'll all come back soon enough, ya heard?
I am the eight ball master and that ain't never gon' change.
The
vibes now... vibes was deh deh. Nice
vibe, chillin' vibe, end of Independence vibe, too much
Smirnoff Ice vibe. Smirnoff Ice was on the house
and not just at Crush. EVERY night at Jungle.
Nuff
superstar did deh deh too! Soloman
Sharpe (the S of R.A.S. Promotions), Carl Thomas,
Dru Lord and Cecile were in the house. DJ
Epps, Jazzy T. and DJ
Rush were on the 1s and 2s and Master
Lee, Supahype, Karim and Smoke were on the sidelines.
Wan'
big up Evon Gordon, Chiney Phat
and the Howard twins
(all Miami crew) reppin' for Hybrid. Big up all Mandeville
massive reppin' as well. Crazy
Neil! It's ALL about you, and Fran from Man'... you
neva deh deh but big up sed way.
Big
up all the dancers too. Of course we all love
that Dancehall is going through round 2 on the international
scene, properly this time around, and that the
dancing is being recognised and represented to the fullest.
I like to see people from all walks of life coming
out but just one thing... I see
that the dancing fad is getting a little out of hand.
Too much people are pushing and shoving for the limelight.
Too many dances are coming out. Before,
back in the day, one and two big dance would come out every
few months. It all seemed to have started when Beenie
Man signed John Hype and then the Alliance tek on Sadiki
and Ice it look like. Good moves I say. Let's just allow
them to create the dances and we'll follow them.
So,
all in all Crush and Jungle on a whole was nice.
I'll see whoever in Miami at Blink
end of this month fo sheezy!
Big
up Hybrid Events and Smirnoff
Ice for holdin' down the after hours this Independence
Weekend.
Blesssssss!
